• Zhang Qing is a student at Mo University. He shows Professor Ye a science fiction online contest. He enters the contest to prove that using modern theory to analyze the ancient system works. His story is about if he has the chance to live again. He calls his story Qing Yu Nian – the Joy of Life.

Back Story

• The story starts off with a young sickly man who wakes up in a baby’s body, with his modern memories still intact. The baby is surrounded by assassins and saved by Wu Zhu, servant to Fan Xian’s late mother.
• The entire capital is after her and Wu Zhu manages to save her son. Wu Zhu brings him somewhere safe. Chen Ping Ping, Chancellor of the Overwatch Council wants him to stay in the capital but Wu Zhu doesn’t trust the capital.
• Wu Zhu brings the baby, Fan Xian to Dan Zhou and leaves him outside the Fan manor.

Life in Dan Zhou

• Years later, Fan Xian is a young boy. He comes home to Butler Zhou punishing his servants. Fan Xian hits Butler Zhou.
• After, Fan Xian, Ruo Ruo his sister and his grandma eat dinner. Fan Xian says he doesn’t need servants. Ruo Ruo leaves for the capital, Fan Xian stays behind.

• Butler Zhou tauntingly comforts Fan Xian. Fan Xian doesn’t have any status and isn’t in the Fan family books because he’s an illegitimate child.
• At night, someone enters Fan Xian’s room. Fan Xian waits for them and knocks him unconscious. Fan Xian thinks he’s killed him and runs to Wu Zhu for help.
• Wu Zhu tells Fan Xian it is Fei Jie, Director of the 3rd Division of the Overwatch Council and is on their side. Fei Jie wakes with blood in his head. Fan Xian blames it on Wu Zhu.

Learning Medicine & Fighting

• Fei Jie tells them Minister Fan and the Chancellor wants him to be Fan Xian’s teacher. Wu Zhu tells Fei Jie Fan Xian was the one who hit him three times.
• Fei Jie teaches Fan Xian medicine. At night they dig out a grave and examine the body. Fei Jie tells Fan Xian to dissect with a knife. Fan Xian wants to wear surgical gloves. Fei Jie has never heard of such a thing. Fan Xian asks about his mother. He vomits.
• The next day Wu Zhu cooks for Fan Xian. Wu Zhu tells Fan Xian his mother was Ye Qing Mei. Fan Xian wants help in cultivating his zhenqi. Wu Zhu trains Fan Xian in martial cultivation by hitting him and telling Fan Xian to avoid getting hit.
• At dinnertime, Fan Xian faints. When he wakes, Fei Jie asks what he was poisoned with. Fan Xian eats from one of the bottles and gets a nose bleed.

• Wu Zhu trains Fan Xian and tells him all he needs to be is fast enough and powerful enough. Fan Xian asks how much is enough and Wu Zhu jumps off a cliff to show his power.
• Fan Xian and Fei Jie drink tea. They both get nosebleeds and Fei Jie tells him he’s learned everything.
• Fei Jie heads back to the capital. Fan Xian says goodbye. Fei Jie gives him a director badge (ti si) to the Overwatch Council. Fan Xian gives him surgical gloves.

The Red Knights

• Grandma comforts Fan Xian. The longer Fei Jie stays the more attention it’d put on Dan Zhou. She tells him the day the Red Knights come will be the day the real danger has come.
• Fan Xian sits and waits for the Red Knights outside. Years later, he is grown up and continues to wait. The Red Knights arrive.
• They kneel outside Fan manor. Grandma has rejected Fan Xian’s dad’s request to bring Fan Xian back to the capital, Jing Du. She wants Fan Xian to have a longer life by staying in Dan Zhou.
