- Qian Xue makes up a story about the flowers. Ye Ce Leng leaves.
- After, she encounters Fang Hou. He’s angry she killed Mu Rong Cheng. They fight. They’re on par, both in the 7th level. Ding Ning arrives.
- Ye Ce Leng is injured. Chen Xuan visits her and gives her medicine. They wonder if Jing Meng had a successor.
- Someone gives Qian Xue flowers. She thinks back to the past with Jing Meng.
Liang Ceng Lou
- The leader of Liang Ceng Lou, Wang Tai Xu visits Ding Ning. He wants Ding Ning to follow him. Ding Ning wants to be a cultivator and enter Min Shan. Tai Xu promises he can get Ding Ning to be eligible to enter but Ding Ning must pass their exam. They agree to work together.
- Ding Ning gives advice to Wang Tai Xu and how to save Liang Ceng Lou. At night, they attend a negotiation together along with members from Jing Lin Tang.
- The negotiations turn into a fight. Mr. Li approves of Ding Ning and allows him to be a Bai Yang Dong disciple.
- Chancellor Li recommends Liang Lian to replace Du Gu Hou. Liang Lian arrives into the capital.
- Ding Ning and Qian Xue talk. She worries that he’s rushing into being a cultivator at Bai Yang Dong and this could harm his life. He tells her to wait for his return.
- Qian Xue visits Liang Jing Meng’s home. She thinks back to meeting Ding Ning when he was young and learning he was Jing Meng’s successor.
- Liang Lian learns of Jing Lin Tang’s destruction. He tells people to find Ding Ning. The Empress banishes Bai Yang Dong from Feng Ming.
Entering Bai Yang Dong
- Ding Ning arrives to Bai Yang Dong. The other disciples think it’s unfair he gets to enter so easily. Ding Ning agrees to being tested.
- Nan Gong Cai Shu from Qing Teng interrupts. She speaks up for Ding Ning.
- Ding Ning completes the disciples’ test and picks out four of the five different beads.
