Summary: The Chinese drama follows Lin Xi, a translator, and Xiao Yicheng, chief technology officer of Yuyitianxia Company, who untie their emotional strains, pursue their dreams together, grow together, achieve their goals, and finally get married and work towards their dreams.

Plot Synopsis:

Lin Xi, the “witch” in the translation industry, reunites with her ex-boyfriend Xiao Yicheng. Eight years ago, in order to fulfill her mother’s unfinished career dream, Lin Xi reluctantly breaks up with Xiao Yicheng and becomes a professional translator for the United Nations.

Eight years later, Lin Xi is already Huasheng’s youngest chief interpreter expert and “Queen of Performance,” while Xiao Yicheng has become the chief technology officer of Translation World—Lin Xi’s opponent and potential client.

In order to win Xiao Yicheng’s contract, Lin Xi has to “deal with” Xiao Yicheng and submits to his beck and call. As a translator, Lin Xi also uses her expertise to help Xiao Yicheng’s company go public.

On the surface, this was a process for Xiao Yicheng to exact revenge on Lin Xi. But, not only was he unable to be ruthless, but also showed mercy to her. While working and getting along, the passionate relationship between the two when they were young is rekindled.

Xiao Yicheng gradually understands the truth about Lin Xi’s breakup with him at that time, and also sees Lin Xi’s efforts step by step as she approaches her dream. He chooses to be her strong support in pursuing her dream, encouraging her and accompanying her when she is at her lowest point.

The two go from estrangement and misunderstanding to mutual understanding and achievement. In the end, the lovers finally get married and realize their professional dream of “speaking for the country”.
