Plot Synopsis:
Gu Moli and Zhu Jingcao struggle all the way from their hometown to putting down roots in Shanghai and starting a family. However, marriage brings another problem that shouldn’t have been a problem – how to get along with their respective parents.
From the disappearance of personal space to the purchase of a house, from disagreements with each other’s parents to disagreements between the two of them, life is not easy for the two of them.
Their days are full of crises, and when things get out of hand, the couple discover that it is their own fault. After going through a cooling-off period, the two decide to divorce and reorganize their family relationships. With the arrival of the divorce certificate, the challenges for the young couple and both families have just begun.
Growth is always accompanied by setbacks. After the divorce, the two encounter a crisis of trust, a financial crisis, and a long-distance crisis, which also makes them understand their family responsibilities better.
As they work to resolve their problems, both parents also understand that they should learn to let go and let their children grow up on their own. In the end, Moli and Jingcao reconcile and remarry, which strengthens their confidence in going forward together.
