Chang Huang’s Suspicions
- Yuan Song and Chang Huan wait for a client. He gives his home keycode to Fan Xing to enter first. Fan Xing looks around his condo and sees many products that are running low on stock. She cleans up the home and buys groceries and home supplies. She sees the receipt for the necklace.
- Chang Huan asks Yuan Song if he needs to spend a lot on his girlfriend. He wonders if Yuan Song is relying on family money. Yuan Song asks Chang Huan if he picked up the card. Chang Huan changes topics and denies knowing about a card. The client is difficult and doesn’t like the wall colour. He then asks to break the wall down.
- After, Yuan Song meets with a woman who gives him gifts. Chang Huan realizes Yuan Song has his ruler and goes after him, seeing the two together.
- Lu Ming and Min Min go eat Japanese food. He also thinks Min Min and Yuan Song isn’t compatible and tells her to stop chasing. He tells her to change her crush. She doesn’t understand why amongst the two of them one of them must change their crush.
Song Xue’s Discovery
- Fan Xing heads home without seeing Yuan Song to eat dinner with Song Xue. Fan Xing’s parents talk about raising children. Dou Zi tells them her parents always say they’re tired. Aunt Wang comes up and takes a liking to Song Xue because she’s been on TV.
- At night Song Xue reads a text from Yuan Song on Fan Xing’s phone. She’s shocked and doesn’t say anything.
- Yuan Song comes back home and sees his fridge fully stocked. He sends a thank you text and wants to repay her with himself. Song Xue reads the text and when Fan Xing comes in she pretend to be asleep.
Fan Xing Returns The Necklace
- Fan Xing calls the jewellery company and returns the necklace. She attends Li Hao Miao’s wedding and tells her classmates she has a boyfriend. Hao Miao thinks it’s Yuan Song and she denies it, saying she was joking.
- Fan Xing waits for Yuan Song to walk the dog and thinks about how to break it to him that she returned the necklace. Every scenario she thinks of doesn’t end well. She thinks what she did was logical and helps both of them but understands how from his standpoint it can hurt his ego.
- Yuan Song arrives to walk the dog. He notices she isn’t wear the necklace and asks about it. He tells her those that don’t like the gift quickly don’t like the person. She doesn’t want him to get the wrong idea and says she’ll wear it tomorrow.
- After class Min Min tells Can Yang she doesn’t like him that way. He wonders if he just experienced rejection.
- Xiao Bai gossip with Fan Xing and Cong Xiao that their company might get acquired. Fan Xing tells her to not spread fake news.
