• Chong Li Ming meets with his father. His father tells him to be careful and to not choose sides.
• Chong Li Ming heads to Shen Ji Ying. Yu Chu is there to gloat. His father is the Empress Dowager’s loyal servant while his best friend Shu Er Tai is on the Emperor’s side. She asks who he’ll choose.

A Yi vs Chong Li Ming

• A Yi sneaks into Shen Ji Ying. He starts to fight with Chong Li Ming. They struggle and A Yi starts to escape but is stopped by everyone. A Yi tells them he has a vendetta against Shen Ji Ying. They fight one on one and A Yi loses.

• A Yi tells Chong Li Ming what Shen Ji Ying did to his family. Chong Li Ming tells him it wasn’t Shen Ji Ying’s people but Yan Shi Fan.

Chong Li Ming’s Internal Struggle

• The next day Rui Zhen brings Chong Li Ming outside of the city. Yan Shi Fan has captured Tongmenghui people and executes all of them.
• Chong Li Ming goes to see Shu Er Tai. His father’s soldiers try to stop him. Shu Er Tai tells him to save the Emperor with Shen Xiu’s help.
• Chong Li Ming asks his father for help. Shen Xiu tells him the Empress Dowager won’t make it past the winter but she’s ordered others to die. He doesn’t want one of those to be his son.
• Yan Shi Fan receives a secret order. Three members use their keys to open the locked box. The order is to kill Shu Er Tai in three days. Yan Shi Fan makes plans and wants Chong Li Ming to carry out the order.

A Yi In Prison

• Yu Chu visits A Yi in Shen Ji Ying’s prison. Ke Yan Xin doesn’t let her release him.
• Da Sha gets attacked by men looking for A Yi. A Yi thinks about his childhood days with Da Sha.

• Yu Chu visits Chong Li Ming and asks him about A Yi. Chong Li Ming gets frustrated with her and leaves.
• Jia Chang An causes trouble and tries to rape Qing Er. Her grandfather stabs him and kills him.
