- Qing Qing tries to scare Hai Tang by pretending to be a ghost. Yue Ming catches her and lectures her.
- Miao Lan combs Mrs. Lang’s hair and tells her that Hai Tang wants to leave the Lang family. She lets slip that Hai Tang caused Yue Xuan to get sick and is putting weird substances on Yue Ming’s face.
- Mrs. Lang thinks Hai Tang can’t fix Yue Ming’s face. She warns Hai Tang to remember her position as Yue Ming’s wife. They bet that if Hai Tang can fix Yue Ming’s face she can get the divorce papers.
- Ji Zhou invites Yue Ming to attend the gala. Si Nian knows this will affect Lang Li Chun’s business.
- Yue Ming discusses with Yue Xuan what to do. Hai Tang believes Yue Ming can face the public and attend. Si Nian and Mrs. Lang argue. Yue Ming decides to attend.
The Flower God Gala
- The city attends the Flower God gala. They force Yue Ming to remove his mask. Yue Ming removes his mask. There are no scars on his face. Hai Tang had covered up the scars with makeup.
- The priest spreads smoke and the makeup fades, uncovering Yue Ming’s scars. Yue Ming and Yue Xuan run out.
- After the gala, no customers visit Lang Li Chun. Customers come to return products.
- Si Nian knows Ji Zhou was the one scheming to uncover Yue Ming’s secret. Ji Zhou denies it and laughs.
- Yue Ming hides in his room. Si Nian wants him to be a man and face the public. Mrs. Lang wants to protect him and doesn’t want him to face humiliation.
- Mrs. Lang blames Hai Tang and decides to punish her. She gets Miao Lan to hit Hai Tang.
- Yue Ming and Yue Xuan come to save Hai Tang. Yue Xuan tells his mom to punish him and hits himself.
- Miao Lan checks up on Yue Xuan. He doesn’t feel anything from the blows.
