Summary
R1SE collides with the world of cosplay and meets cosplay champions Tian Yuan and Liu Xuefeng, and many cosers. The boys not only tried cosplay modelling for the first time, but also obtained hilarious “CNs” (cosplay names). They “opened the door to the new world” during their training and demonstrated their potential in cosplay.
Recap
- R1SE enters the world of cosplay. The team arrive in Jiangsu, Suzhou. They meet with Tian Tian and Xue Xue, 2017 World Cosplay Submit winners. They arrive in the middle of rehearsal.
- Tian Tian and Xue Xue bring them to the classroom. They create cosplay names for themselves. They prepare for performances two days later.
- The next day, they discuss the characters and how to set the stage. R1SE gets into the mindset of cosplayers and understands the criticism they face.
- Yan Xu Jia arrives late and is punished to act out a female cosplayer. After, R1SE practices using different emotions to say the same emotion.
- They split off into two groups to try on costumes and rehearse their lines. They have to fix the sizing of their costumes. Zhou Zhen Nan has to switch roles one day before due to his costume not fitting well.
- It’s the day of performance. The team gets their makeup done. They head on stage to perform in front of cosplay veterans and teachers. It’s a success.
- They’re thankful for getting the opportunity to understand cosplayers and how they chase their dreams and make it a reality.
