- Xiao Rou’s mom wants her to come home. She thinks the city life is bad and that Xiao Rou will have a better life back home in the village.
- Xiao Rou pretends to go to work everyday and hides out at the café.
- Xiao Rou’s mom falls in front of the bus stop. Chi Xin brings her to the hospital. Her mom hates Chi Xin for putting Xiao Rou on the show. Sa Sa sees them.
- Chi Xin brings Xiao Rou’s mom to eat ice cream at the café. Xiao Rou hides in the washroom. Xiao Rou’s mom knows it’s her but doesn’t out Xiao Rou. Chi Xin tries to reason with her mom.
- Xiao Rou resigns. Zheng Ze reads her letter.
- Xiao Rou heads home. Her mom is angry for her lying and has bought train tickets for them to head home. Xiao Rou leaves.
- Chi Xin finds Xiao Rou sitting outside. Xiao Rou cries about her current situation.
- The next day Chi Xin is distracted. He finds Jiang Yuan to get the video clip of Xiao Rou at the competition.
- Xiao Rou says goodbye to Sa Sa and Ming Zhu. Chi Xin gives Xiao Rou’s mom the clip of Xiao Rou’s speech.
