- Song Qian cries and tells them Ying Zi wanted to go to Nan Da to run away from her. She asks Liu Jing for advice on how to talk to Ying Zi. They chat about parenting.
- It’s Chinese New Year. Everyone puts up decorations.
- Fang Yuan and Wen Jie go visit Song Qian. She’s alone while Ying Zi is with her dad.
- Everyone comes over to Song Qian’s. The men cook. The parents celebrate separately from the kids.
- The kids decorate and celebrate the new year. They play card games and try to let Ying Zi win. She’s happy to have them.
- They put on a movie. The others watch Ying Zi.
- The parents celebrate and have dinner. Liu Jing tells them she has early stage cancer. Sheng Li announces he’s stepped back in his ranking. Wei Dong hopes Ying Zi and Song Qian will be happy. The adults all tear up.
- Fang Yuan gives a speech and wishes for a successful, happy, and healthy 2019.
- Song Qian and Wei Dong do marriage therapy with a doctor. Their arguing and negative remarks about each other has deeply affected Ying Zi. The doctor tells them to not be enemies in front of Ying Zi.
- Song Qian and Wei Dong agree to be friends. She apologizes to him. He tells her he and Xiao Meng broke up.
- Sheng Li finishes the paperwork to stay at home and be second rank. He asks Fang Yuan for help in making soup.
