Plot Synoposis:
Xiao Yan Yan is the third daughter of Prime Minister Xiao Si Wen and Yan State’s Grand Princess.
As the youngest child in the family, she is not only loved by her father, but also loved and taken care of by her elder sister Xiao Hu Nian and her second sister.
Xiao Yanyan, who has been loved by thousands of people, has developed a personality that dares to think, say, and do since she was young.
She is full of persistence in pursuit of things and does not give up lightly. When she meets Han De Rang, the two fall in love and they agree to be together for life.

Tang Yan 唐嫣 as Xiao Yan Yan 萧燕燕
The third daughter of Prime Minister Xiao Si Wen. She is smart and competitive by nature. As a young girl, she is loved by her parents. She is passionate about everything and does not give up easily. She and Han De Rang are childhood sweethearts and decide to be together for life. But because of fate, she meets Ye Lu Xian of Liao Jing Zong and starts a legendary life. She has a son with Ye Lu Xian, named Yelu Longxu. After the son ascends the throne and she becomes Queen Dowager. Yan Yan marries Han De Rang again and they become the rulers of Liao Kingdom.
Dou Xiao 窦骁 as Han De Rang 韩德让
Liao Kingdom’s minister of Han nationality, he is brave and clever. He and Xiao Yan Yan are childhood sweethearts and have always loved each other. After the death of Liao Jing Zong, he accompanies the Queen Mother in silence as an auxiliary minister, helping in state affairs. Later, he marries Xiao Yan Yan, who was the Queen Mother, and in the end dies of illness.

The eldest daughter of Prime Minister Xiao Si Wen and Lu Bu Gu. A female soldier of Liao, she is good at supervising the military, opening up territory, and commanding the three armies to fight together. She commits her life for Liao. Hu Nian becomes the wife of Prince Qi’s Yan Sa Ge. Then she turns against his sister.
Jing Chao 经超 as Ye Lu Xian 耶律贤
The fifth emperor of the Liao Kingdom, Liao Jing Zong. He is Xiao Yan Yan’s husband, and loves her deeply. He knows that Xiao Yan Yan and Han De Rang are childhood sweethearts yet still uses his power to snatch her away from him. Lu Xian has a son with Xiao Yan Yan, Yelu Longxu. He finally dies of illness, and the Liao Kingdom is handed over to Queen Dowager Xiao Yan Yan to manage.
Tan Kai 谭凯 as Yan Sa Ge 罨撒葛
The second son of Liao Tai Zong, the third emperor of the Liao Kingdom. He is brother to Ye Lu Jing, cousin to Ye Lu Xian, and husband to Xiao Hu Nian.
Liu Yi Jun 刘奕君 as Xiao Si Wen 萧思温
The father of Xiao Hu Nian, Wu Gu Li and Xiao Yan Yan. He is the prime minister of the Northern House of the Liao Dynasty during the Shi Zong Period and his son.
