Summary: The Chinese drama is adapted from the original novel by Qingxian Yatou. Plot Synopsis:
In the middle to late Tang Dynasty, Chu Chu, a young girl from a family of post-mortem examiners in the southwest mountainous area, heads to Chang’an alone to realize her dream of being a coroner.
She participates in the exam and meets Xiao Jin Yu, Lord of Anjun. Xiao Jin Yu recruits Chu Chu as his partner to work the secret case.
The mystery behind Chu Chu’s life breaks the balance of power in Beijing, and a power struggle unfolds.
Along with solving the cases one by one, the team step by step finally solves a huge case that lasted for 18 years.
Xiao Jin Yu and Chu Chu get married, and Chu Chu is finally recognized by the emperor. She is given the status of a “priority coroner” by the emperor, and realizes her life ideals.

Su Xiao Tong 苏晓彤 as Chu Chu 楚楚
The daughter of a family of coroners in the southwest mountainous area, she heads to Chang’an alone to realize her dream of becoming a coroner. She is meticulous and observant. She gets acquainted with Xiao Jin Yu and the two eventually marry with the Emperor’s approval.
Wang Zi Qi 王子奇 as Xiao Jin Yu 萧瑾瑜
Lord Anjun, he is in charge of the Three Laws Division, and judges cases like a god. He is extremely handsome and extraordinary. After Chu Chu takes the coroner examination, he decides to recruit Chu Chu as his partner to uncover the secret case.

Yang Ting Dong 杨廷东 as Jing Yi 景翊
The romantic and suave youth of Dali Temple. When investigating crimes, he can always find key evidence in the process of flying over walls, turning over windows and lifting cabinets. He has a very cheery personality which always allows him to show everyone the dignified and dull scene of solving the case. Jing Yi is able to provide a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
Zhao Yao Ke 赵尧珂 as Leng Yue 冷月
Born in a family of military commanders. She grows up with Xiao Jin Yu and Jing Yi. She wants to be part of jianghu but grew up in a family of officials, a black-and-red female heroine who relies on her exquisite swordsmanship.
