Plot Synoposis:
In the 1930s, Shanghai socialite Su Wen Li, who studied in Europe for many years, returns to Shanghai from Paris.
The next day, she is invited to a lunch at Ma Min Lan’s house. Ma Min Lan’s husband Hu Yun Lang falls and dies in the bathroom of the home that morning.
Inspector Luo Qiu Heng of the detective squad determined that Hu Yun Lang died of arsenic poisoning, so he takes away the maid Xiao Tao Zi for investigation.
Although the suspicion was removed, Xiao Tao Zi is fired by the Hu family. Su Wen Li sees that the girl is smart and capable takes in Xiao Tao Zi. She becomes Wen Li’s maid, girlfriend and detective assistant.
Inspector Luo is deeply impressed by the tact and insight that Su Wen Li showed in case analysis. Therefore, the two form a partnership and jointly solve a series of bizarre cases.

Ma Yi Li 马伊琍 as Su Wen Li 苏雯丽
A shanghai socialite who is also a female detective. Su Wen Li is elegant and independent, holds courage and wisdom that does not lose to men, and upholds the spirit of women in the new era at the same time. She is the founder and chief detective of Miss Aisi Detective Agency. Her character is eccentric, she doesn’t play cards according to common sense, is naturally keen, and likes excitement and challenge.
Gao Wei Guang 高伟光 as Luo Qiu Heng 罗秋恒
The Inspector of the Central Patrol Room of the French Concession Police Bureau. He is a gentleman with a calm personality, rigorous behaviour, integrity and principle. When he first meets Su Wen Li, because she was self-acting and liked to intervene in cases, he was quite resistant to her. Later, he gradually discovers that her intelligence, independence and kindness turns from appreciation to love.
Luo Qiu Heng acts conservatively, but in his heart he admires her unruly, although he doesn’t say it out loud. A long time ago his ex-girlfriend, who was the daughter of a high-ranking foreign police officer, broke up with him because he was old-fashioned.
