Summary: The Chinese drama follows Gu Chuan, who is fortunate enough to be reborn with a “mechanical” heart after suffering heart damage during an accident in college. While this “heart” gives him a new life, it also brings him unusual troubles.

Plot Synopsis:

Gu Chuan has a major car accident during the year he graduates from university. It causes serious damage to his heart. Fortunately, the rescue team comes in time and he regains his life. He is given a mechanical heart to survive the accident.

However, due to the artificial heart inserted into his body, Gu Chuan cannot perform intense exercise, nor can be express joy, anger, sorrow, and other intense emotions. Gu Chuan, who was originally cheerful and passionate about life, gradually loses confidence and lives like the walking dead.

Ten years later, Gu Chuan and his friend Xu Cheng Ran co-founds the “Chuan” Architectural Design Studio. Gu Chuan tries to accept his differences compared to ordinary people and find new hope, but every time he fails, until he meets Jiang Xiao Ning.

Jiang Xiao Ning lost both her parents when she was young and lives with her grandmother and aunt. But the unfortunate experience as a child does not bring her down. Instead she grows up to be an optimistic and cheerful girl who knows how to cherish and live fully.

The two became a superior-subordinate relationship by mistake. After spending time together, Gu Chuan sees in Jiang Xiao Ning the enthusiasm and hope he had lost for life. While helping Jiang Xiao Ning complete her studies and dreams, he also finds a new self identity.

Ren Jia Lun 任嘉伦 as Gu Chuan 顾川
Mr. Lizard, he is the founder and chief designer of “Chuan” Architectural Design Studio. Gu Chuan is a cold-blooded and restrained boss. Ten years ago, he was enthusiastic, cheerful and passionate about sports but suffer an accident which changes him entirely. After meeting Jiang Xiao Ning, his heart overbeats and he “releases electricity”. His first love Chen Wen Wen also broke up with him because of the car accident.

Miss Crow. She becomes a sub-ordinate to Gu Chuan. Although she lost both her parents when she was young, she remains optimistic about life.

Founding partner of “Chuan” Architectural Design Studio. Growing up overseas with his mother, he hates and fears his native family. He is atypical of the rich second generation. He met Gu Chuan during a study abroad and became friends instantly. After returning to China, they found the “Chuan” Architectural Design Studio together. It seems like he indulges in unruly love and freedom, but he is actually quite innocent, so the outside world always misunderstands him as a scumbag.

Zhao Yi Huan 赵奕欢 as Zhao Yan 赵妍
The supervising engineer of Reindeer Real Estate Group. She is a combination of sex appeal and sunshine. She is good at racing motorcycles and pole dancing. As a small executive in the company, she is often harassed by greasy customers and gender-discriminated by the company’s leaders. For this job, she tolerates it again and again. She doesn’t believe in love, let alone marriage. In her eyes, a man is just a tool and sleeping together is not equal to loving.
