Summary: The Chinese drama is adapted from the Yunteng project novel “Datang Strange Cases”. It mainly tells of the second prince of the dragon clan who comes to the world to save the common people from drought. He did not expect that after the disaster was lifted, he loses his lover and the Nilin treasure, and there was no way to return to the sea. He can only stay away from the world for five hundred years, looking for everything he has lost.
Plot Synoposis:
Second Prince Ning Xiu Rui sneaks to Ludi to play. After encountering a drought that hadn’t happened in a thousand years, he disregards his father’s instructions to spread the rain and hands over the dragon’s treasure, Nilin. He gives the treasure to Jin Er, a girl in the fishing village, to relieve the village epidemic.
When he returns to the fishing village again, he finds that Nilin and Jin Er have disappeared at the same time. After losing Nilin, an extra layer of enchantment on the sea makes Ning Xiu Rui unable to return to sea. He thought it was because the Dragon King was furious, and that he could only drift away on land to find Nilin.
Five hundred years later, Ning Xiu Rui, who has become a “university scholar”, finally meets Jin Er. She is no longer the orphan from the fishing village but the well known Su Yin Yin. After the two meet, their situation becomes dangerous and inseparable.
A love affair full of adventures quietly kicks off between them, and the secret that Ning Xiu Rui could not return to the sea also surfaces. Yet there seems to be a greater bond between the two.

Wang Run Ze 王润泽 as Ning Xiu Rui 宁修睿
The second prince of the dragon clan, when he first arrives on land, he is a young dragon with a pure heart. After being tricked by a human girl, he could no longer return to sea. After Nilin was lost, the emperor accepts the homeless Ning Xiu Rui and signs a contract with him. He assists successive emperors, and the emperor holds responsibility for keeping him safe and hiding on land. After 500 years of fruitless searching for Nilin, Ning Xiu Rui’s personality has become aloof and indifferent, and only the emperor can tell what he is thinking.

The straightforward and narcissistic daughter of a scholar. She has a charming appearance, noble demeanour and inherent self-confidence. Yin Yin is a material girl who grows up in the fanatical pursuit of everyone. A few years ago, Su’s father was upright and offends the emperor. Her father is downgraded and his salary reduced. Since then, the Su family falls from the emperors graces. For the face of herself and the Su family, Su Yin Yin begins relying on the “Shengjing Sisters Group” with paintings in the pawnbroker’s house to maintain an appearance.

The prince, a student of Ning Xiu Rui, the younger brother of Li Si. He is a lively character, dares to love and hate, yearns for life in jianghu and is tired of the deserted court life. In front of Ning Xiu Rui, he would compete with Su Yin Yin for Xiu Ruis affection. He meets Su Yin Yin’s cousin Tang Lin Lin and falls in love at first sight.
Zhu Li Lan 朱丽岚 as Tang Lin Lin 唐琳琳
Su Yin Yin’s cousin, daughter of a general. She is kind and virtuous, mature, stable, and chivalrous. She lost her mother when she was young and fights alongside her father. Lin Lin is eager to find a simple and stable home. She has practiced martial arts since she was a child, and spent almost half of her childhood on horseback.
