Summary: The Chinese drama is adapted from Lan Yun Shu’s novel “The Bright Moon in the Tang Dynasty” and is set during the Yonghui period of Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty. It is a love story between Kudi Liuli, a talented girl in dressmaking, and Pei Xing Jian, a young scholar.
Plot Synoposis:
During the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty, former clothing maker An is framed and imprisoned by her apprentice Zhuo Jin Niang. When she was in danger, she entrusts her young daughter Liu Li to an old friend in the palace.
Liu Li grows up in the palace and becomes a medical officer, responsible for epidemic prevention. She also inherits her mother’s superb talent for making clothes.
Just when she is about to leave the palace, she falls into a trap by those jealous of her. Fortunately, she meets Pei Xing Jian, who was exceptionally capable, who helps her escape the danger.
Liu Li keeps investigating the truth of her mother’s case. At this time, Emperor Taizong was seriously ill, and the current situation was tense. Liu Li and Pei Xing Jian assist Crown Prince Li Zhi.
