Summary: The Chinese drama is adapted from Mai’s novel of the same name. It tells the story of the Communist Party underground worker “Old Ghost” who breaks into the Japanese pseudo-intelligence organization, but is cut off at a critical moment, and faces the danger of identity exposure. In a crisis, “Old Ghost” deals with the enemy and tries every means to transmit information.
Plot Synoposis:
It is 1941. Military control agent Gu Xiao Meng successfully infiltrates the confidential group of the Wang Puppet Corps.
Due to the assassination of a senior officer of the Japanese Intelligence Department, she is arrested by Japanese secret service chief Longchuan Hihara.
The Japanese also capture Xiao Meng’s colleagues Li Ning Yu, Jin Sheng Huo, Wu Zhi Zuo and Bai Xiao Nian Wang Tian Xiang.
The head of the Puppet Corps learns that the CCP underground workers “Old Ghost” are among the captured.
Longchuan Hihara uses all means to force “Old Ghost” to show up.
The communist party discovered the spy sent over by Hihara, codenamed “Blue Light”. Gu Xiao Meng succeeds in getting rid of the traitor, and uses Qiu Zhuang’s secrets to kill Longchuan Feiyuan.
In the end, Gu Xiao Meng chooses the same path as “Old Ghost”. Xiao Meng continues to lurch amongst their enemies to complete “Old Ghost”‘s unfinished business.

Xu Lu 徐璐 as Gu Xiao Meng 顾晓梦
An interpreter in the confidential room of the pseudo-corps. At first glance, she seems to be an indulgent and cynical wealthy daughter. In reality she is sincere, persistent and adventurous. Xiao Meng is skilled at dance, bridge, and art.
Wen Yong Shan 文咏珊 as Li Ning Yu 李宁玉
The head of the Confidential Division of the Puppet Corps. She is arrogant and indifferent, outstanding, good-looking, superior in IQ. Ning Yu is a top student from the Department of Mathematics at Harvard University with great mental arithmetic and logical reasoning.

Zhang Zhi Jian 张志坚 as Jin Sheng Huo 金生火
A first-class spy catcher. He is amiable and sincere, but also cunning and wise.
