Plot Synopsis:

Yan Xiao Chen, a post-90s female college student, is originally a happy girl from an ordinary family, but a series of events during the college entrance examination year changes her destiny.

Growing up in adversity, she has to go to a bar to work in order to pay her tuition. She accidentally meets Cheng Zhi Yuan, a rich man, and her college boyfriend Shen Hou, becomes jealous.

After graduating from university, Yan Xiao Chen and Shen Hou encounter a wall in their careers time and time again, but through hard work, the two achieve certain results. Their relationship stabilizes, and they decide to get married.

However, on the eve of their wedding, Yan Xiao Chen learns that it was Shen Hou’s mother who caused the death of her father.

The marriage falls apart, and Shen Hou heads to the United States to soothe his heartbreak. Yan Xiao Chen falls into trouble again and has to ask Cheng Zhi Yuan for help.

When Yan Xiao Chen was most fragile and in pain, Cheng Zhi Yuan cares for her warmly, and Yan Xiao Chen grows in her dependence on him.

However, when Shen Hou comes back again, he brings even greater secrets about Cheng Zhi Yuan.

After experiencing all this, Yan Xiao Chen reconfirms her inner feelings and decides to replace hatred with forgiveness, follow her inner heart, and make a final choice in love.
