Plot Synoposis:
The lively Shi Cha Hai breaks the originally peaceful life of famous chef Zhuang and his family. The arrival of David brings many troubles as there are no small details that offend Mr. Zhuang’s old rules.
David’s plan is to approach Zhuang’s daughter, Zhuang Jing, who he looks up to as a goddess. To get close to the family, he learns taichi from Uncle Zhuang, deepening his relationship with him and becoming an apprentice of Uncle Zhuang.
The eldest son Zhi Cun has a stable job and has been pursuing love. However, the regretful ex-wife returns to his life. With the help of his daughter, the persistent, unruly and unreasonable ex-wife makes his chance at love disappear.
Ning Zhe Yao’s stubbornness becomes more and more prominent in middle age. All kinds of investment and financial management fails and though he has a good heart he ends up doing bad, in the end getting kicked out by the family. He makes up his mind to change the past and finally gets forgiven by his family.
On New Year’s Eve, the epiphylla is in full bloom, and every diligent and simple Beijinger living in Shichahai gathers together to have a happy and auspicious Spring Festival.
