Summary: The Chinese drama follows the life of Qin Emperor Ying Zheng. Under the assistance of Lu Bu Wei, Li Si, Wang Jian, and others he destroys the six states, unifies the world, and establishes the first centralized state in Chinese history.
Plot Synoposis:
In the late Warring States period, the Qin family dominated.
A generation of heroes, King Qin Zhao Xiang, and King Qin Xiao Wen, who succeeds the throne, die one after another. Suddenly there was a dispute between the concubines for who would be up next on the throne.
Wealthy businessman Lu Bu Wei sought to usurp the country and support his exiled son to win the position. The eldest son Ying Xi hated Xian Yang, and the political chaos is settled.
The state of Qin conquers the six kingdoms and gradually ruled the world. Only in the battle with old enemy Zhao, did they have trouble. They are defeated frequently and the people suffer. The hatred between Qin and Zhao grow deeper.
After Prince Ying Zheng and his mother Zhao Ji return to Qin, under the tutelage of Lu Bu Wei and the care of the queen, he takes the throne as king. Zhao Ji and Lu Bu Wei join forces to suppress the Chu faction headed by Mrs. Hua Yang.
Ying Zheng uses the blood of his brother Cheng Yu to clear the way to the throne. He rids thouse trying to usurp, the turmoil subsides, and Ying Zheng relentlessly expells his mother Zhao Ji and demotes Lu Bu Wei.
At this point, Ying Zheng finally wins, and unifies the country as Qin.

Zhang Lu Yi 张鲁一 as Emperor Qin Shi Huang 秦始皇
Ying Zheng, Qin Shi Huang, uses the blood of his brother Cheng Yu to clear the way to the throne. At last, he controls the government and unifies the country as Qin. After unifying China, he becomes the first emperor in Chinese history: the first emperor, Qin Shi Huang.
Duan Yi Hong 段奕宏 as Lu Bu Wei 吕不韦
He seeks to usurp the country, and supports the exiled son of a different position. After Ying Zheng and his mother Zhao Ji returns to Qin, he supports Ying Zheng to be Emperor.

Li Nai Wen 李乃文 as Li Si 李斯
The prime minister of the Qin Dynasty plays a major role in forming Qin. After Qin unifies the world, he negotiates with Wang Wan and Feng Jie to support Ying Zheng as emperor, and formulates relevant etiquette systems. He is later appointed as prime minister; strongly advocates the implementation of the prefecture system and the abolition of the enfeoffment system.
Zhu Zhu 朱珠 as Zhao Ji 赵姬
Qin Shi Huang’s biological mother, Ms. Qin Zhuang Xiang, from Handan, Zhao State. She is formerly Lu Bu Wei’s concubine. Her son Ying Zheng takes the throne and she becomes the first Empress Dowager of Qin.
