Plot Synopsis:

The old Peking Opera female student Yu Fei studies under the “light boat” and is expelled by her teacher because of a mistake. At the same time, ancient style stage play producer Bai Fei Li looks for actors with Peking Opera skills for his new play. Because of this the two meet.

Yu Fei’s bright voice in Peking opera makes Bai Feili’s stage drama an instant hit. But the two break contact because of her mother’s death. When they met again, Yu Fei was already preparing for professional drama school, and Bai Fei Li’s drama club faced a crisis of new projects.

Yu Fei enters Bai Fei Li’s house because of a part-time job, and Bai Fei Li concentrates on preparing for Yu Fei’s make-up classes. With the assistance of her grandparents, the two finally fall in love.

In order to allow Yu Fei to concentrate on the Peking Opera career, Bai Fei Li asks to break up. But after knowing the truth, Yu Fei chooses to help Bai Fei Li’s drama company complete the performance.

In the end, Yu Fei sings a different “Wu Zi Xu” on the stage of “The Prosperity of Spring and Autumn”, Bai Fei Li also premieres his new drama “Nan Ge Like a Dream 2”. In the end, the two enter the marriage hall hand in hand.
