Summary: The Chinese drama is adapted from the novel of the same name by The Blue Lion and follows Mo Yan, a “genius girl” in Shuzhong who aspires to become the best warrior in jianghu. In order to clear the name of her 5th senior brother who was imprisoned, she enters jianghu and arrives to Kaifeng Mansion. Because of her keen insight, she is appreciated by Master Bao and becomes a female catcher and friends with Zhan Zhao.

Plot Synopsis:

A genius girl who enters jianghu and aspires to become the number one thief warrior. Mo Yan comes to Kaifeng Mansion to reverse the case of her 5th senior brother who was wrongfully imprisoned.

However, because of her keen insight, she is appreciated by Master Bao. She becomes a female arrester in Kaifeng Mansion, and butts heads with the chivalrous Zhan Zhao.

The two uncover many layers of conspiracies along the way. Mo Yan not only reveals the mystery of her own life experiences, but also starts to understand the dilemma between “chivalry” and “emotion” in Zhan Zhao’s mind.

Zhang Hui Wen 张慧雯 as Mo Yan 莫研
Ranked seventh in her division, she is a “genius girl” in Shuzhong, inspired to become the No. 1 thief warrior in jianghu. She has a quirky personality, and is sassy and witty. In order to reverse the case of the fifth senior brother Li Xu who was wronged and imprisoned, she enters jianghu for the first time and arrives to Kaifeng Mansion.

Wu Xi Ze 吴希泽 as Zhan Zhao 展昭
The first fourth-rank guard with a knife, titled “Royal Cat”, known as Nan Xia, and serves in Kaifeng Mansion. His appearance is arrogant and cold, but in fact he is bold, loyal, humble and steady. Zhan Zhao wears a red official uniform, a black gauze official hat, holds a giant saber in his arms, and carries a token of Kaifeng Mansion around his waist. His sword-like eyebrows and starry eyes are awe-inspiring.

Niu Zi Fan 牛子藩 as Ning Jin 宁晋
Ning Jin is a prince who doesn’t like state affairs. He always does things casually, nags often and makes seemingly unreasonable requests, all in order to hide his true thoughts. He is resourceful, but when faced with Mo Yan who doesn’t follow the rules, he becomes fooled often. Gradually, his curiosity about Mo Yan turns into a liking.

Chen Fang Tong 陈芳彤 as Zhao Yu 赵渝
Zhao Yu, the princess of the Song Dynasty, has a dignified appearance and a collection of thousands of items. She escapes from the imperial palace and after a wave of unrest, she encounters family turmoil and must face a political marriage with a prince of a neighbouring country.
