Plot Synopsis:
A legend predicts that the dark night is approaching and will be the end for all of mankind. When Sang Sang’s real identity is brought to surface, Ning Que must do everything in his power to protect his love. Throughout his years, Ning Que has fought for justice and has become a hero to the Tang Dynasty. The enemies expose Sang Sang’s connection to the legend and wants to kill her. Ning Que doesn’t want her to get hurt and goes with her through many obstacles and struggles. At the same time, the Tang Dynasty is being attacked by warlords and Ning Que must stand up for his country and lead the army against them.

Wang He Di 王鹤棣 as Ning Que 宁缺
A frontier soldier, Ning Que becomes Mr. Thirteen of the Academy and Tang Dynasty’s guardian, taking on the heavy responsibility of saving the world. Ning Que’s character is easygoing and free, empathetic, gives retribution and takes on revenge, and a strong spirit of resistance.

Song Yi Ren 宋伊人 as Sang Sang 桑桑
A young hand-maiden and life-long companion and later wife of Ning Que. She is caring and loyal. Because of the mysterious illness befell on her, the whole world wanted her death. By chance, the Great Grand Priest chose her to be his successor.

Yang Chao Yue 杨超越 as Hao Tian 昊天
The only god in the world, she has a cold and arrogant personality, has both beauty and wisdom. She is both “light” and “darkness”. It is the god of light who shines in the world, but is also the Pluto who can bring the disaster of the night.
