Plot Synoposis:
In 1984, 18-year-old Yi Dong Dong moves from Hunan to his hometown in Guangzhou with his parents.
Yi Dong Dong falls in love with his neighbour Ma Xiao Xiao at first sight.
However, Ma Xiao Xiao has long been in love with Ou Xiao Jian, who she grew up with. Ordinary Yi Dong Dong has no choice but to suppress his feelings and to guard her silently.
Ma Xiao Xiao worries because Ou Xiao Jian gets involved with the youth gang. Soon, Ma Xiao Xiao’s father becomes seriously ill, and the pressure on Ma Xiao Xiao suddenly increases.
Yi Dong Dong stays by her side all this time, and Ou Xiao Jian remains confused. The exhausted Ma Xiao Xiao finally chooses to part ways after experiencing various twists and turns with Ou Xiao Jian.
After graduating from university, Ma Xiao Xiao becomes a lawyer and gradually assumes the responsibility for her family.

The gentle boy next door, and gradually grows into a responsible and positive young man. He is the most loyal guardian of Ma Xiao Xiao. Dong Dong dedicates himself to guarding his beloved, and will always appear when Ma Xiao Xiao needs him the most. He falls in love with Ma Xiao Xiao at first sight and silently guards over her. After ten years of crushing on her, he finally impresses Xiao Xiao with his sincerity.
